About SPEAR

For more than three decades, Dr. Sondra LoRe has worked in education as an educator, evaluator, consultant, and academic leader. Her experience spans K–12 and higher education, with expertise in program evaluation, curriculum design, assessment, faculty development, and educational leadership. She holds degrees in economics, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, and evaluation, statistics, and measurement, as well as a certification in qualitative research.

Dr. LoRe co-founded the National Institute for STEM Evaluation and Research at the University of Tennessee, where she served as Evaluation Manager and Director. She later directed teaching and learning centers at both a community college and an R1 research university. In 2017, she founded STEM Program Evaluation, Assessment, and Research (SPEAR), where she serves as principal evaluation consultant and leads external evaluations of STEM education and research programs.
